這次的傳聞雖由Lawson勝出，但先前從衛星隊升格的Pierre Gasly與Alex Albon都未能抵擋Verstappen的強勢，使Lawson能從以Verstappen作為不動核心的Red Bull車隊中取得多少競爭資源將是後續值得關注的地方，而且如果Lawson未能交出令Horner與Marko滿意的成績，Lawson也有可能如幾位前輩般在賽季途中被下放至RB車隊，甚或是被發布戰力外通告。而對角田來說，明年將是他能否繼續留在F1賽場的關鍵一年。
