何謂 RAID 6 磁碟陣列?

RAID6 磁碟陣列其組成數至少需要四顆硬碟實際容量 = (Size of Smallest Drive) * (Number of Drives - 2)

是利用兩種同位去檢查資料進行更強悍的容錯備援，可以在壞兩顆硬碟機情況下重新建立資料系統，容錯力比RAID5更加強悍與RAID 5相比，RAID 6增加了第二個獨立的奇偶校驗資訊塊，兩個獨立的奇偶系統使用不同的演算法，資料的可靠性非常高，即使兩顆硬碟同時失效也不會影響資料的使用。
